Abstract

Summary In the monograph debatable questions of determination of human potential, its structure, function are considered. On the basis of activity approach the author considers the human potential of individuals and social communities as system of their needs, abilities and willingness to carry out socially significant kinds of activity, social roles and functions in society. Today these systems become new object of the scientific analysis and a new subject of creative activity of people. In the mono-graph systems of needs, abilities and willingness of social actors to carry out social roles and functions, including, systems of requirements, abili-ties and the willingness necessary for development of innovative econ-omy are subjected to the special analysis. Questions of formation, de-velopment, preservation and use of human potential, its reproduction are considered. The author offers new system of indicators of the human potential characterizing its efficiency, effectiveness and parameters of its quality. Need of formation and realization of policy of development and effective use of human potential is proved. Theoretical and meth-odological bases of monitoring of dynamics of human potential are de-veloped. The monograph is finished by the glossary of the main con-cepts of the theory of human potential.
