Political legitimation as a symbolic construction of the social order in modern Russia

Abstract

Актуальность проблематики исследования символических репрезентаций и легитимации политической власти в современной России обусловлена тем, что в условиях информационного общества и динамики современных коммуникаций символическая политика приобретает особую значимость для политической консолидации общества. Исследование опирается на теоретические подходы П. Бергера, Т. Лукмана, П. Бурдье и других исследователей коллективных форм политического знания и их символических структур. На основе изучения символических практик политической легитимации власти в современной России выявляется специфика символических репрезентаций института президентства и губернаторства на уровне федеральной и региональной власти. В работе подчеркивается важность комплементарности нормативных и эмпирических моделей процесса политической легитимации для исследования символических практик и политико-культурных аспектов социального пространства.The relevance of the study of symbolic representations and legitimation of political power in modern Russia is determined with the fact that in the conditions of the information society and the dynamics of modern communications, symbolic politics acquires special significance for the political consolidation of society. The study is based on the theoretical approaches of P. Berger, T. Luckmann, P. Bourdieu and other researchers of collective forms of political knowledge and their symbolic structures. On the basis of the study of the symbolic practices of political legitimation of power in modern Russia, the specificity of symbolic representations of the institution of the presidency and governorship at the level of federal and regional authorities is revealed. The graduation research emphasizes the importance of the complementarity of normative and empirical models of the process of political legitimation for the study of symbolic practices and the political and cultural aspects of social space.
