Interannual variability of the deep convection intensity in the subpolar seas of the North Atlantic and the north European Arctic

Abstract

В работе рассматривается межгодовая изменчивость интенсивности глубокой конвекции в морях Гренландском, Лабрадор и Ирмингера с 1950х гг. путем анализа изменчивости концентрации промежуточных и глубинных водных масс. В рамках работы были получены концентрации водных масс с помощью OMP-анализа, и был рассчитан индекс конвекции на основе полученных водных масс.The paper investigates interannual variability of the intensity of deep convection in the Greenland, Labrador and Irminger seas since the 1950s by analyzing the variability of the concentration of intermediate and deep water masses. As a result concentrations of water masses were obtained using OMP analysis, and the convection index was calculated based on the obtained water masses.
