Visual design project for a feature film based on Oscar Wilde's The Canterville Ghost

Abstract

В своей дипломной работе я хочу представить новое прочтение всем известной истории Оскара Уайльда «Кентервильское привидение». В моей интерпретации призрак становится театральным актером, а семья дипломата – съемочной группой из Голливуда. Визуальное решение эскизов построено на противопоставлении двух миров – фальшивого и вычурного мира Голливудского кино и мира призрака с его истинным талантом и традициями драматического театра.In my diploma work I want to present a new reading of Oscar Wilde's well-known story "The Canterville Ghost". In my interpretation the ghost becomes a theatre actor, and the diplomat's family becomes a film crew from Hollywood. The visual solution of the sketches is based on the opposition of two worlds - the fake and pretentious world of Hollywood cinema and the world of the ghost with his true talent and traditions of dramatic theatre.
