Characteristics of dust particles in gas mixtures

Abstract

Рассмотрены силы, действующие на частицу в комплексной плазме в условиях стратифицированного разряда. Проведены эксперименты для оценки характерных размеров частиц, левитирующих в разряде при различных заданных условиях. Выполнены численные оценки для силы тяжести, электростатической силы и силы ионного увлечения для смесей газов, результаты сопоставлены с полученными экспериментальными данными.The forces acting on a particle in a complex plasma under conditions of a stratified discharge are considered. Experiments were carried out to estimate the characteristic sizes of particles levitating in the discharge under various specified conditions. Numerical estimates are made for the gravity force, electrostatic force, and ion drag force for gas mixtures, and the results are compared with the obtained experimental data.
