Female gender socialisation in modern societies of Russia and China

Abstract

Актуальность темы ВКР обусловлена тем, что гендерная социализация женщин – это процесс, который продолжается на протяжении всей жизни: от младенчества до взросления. Женщинам и мужчинам приписывают разное поведение, разные роли и даже разные способности. Также данная тематика представляется особенно актуальной в связи с тем, что 29 декабря 2022 г. Правительство РФ утвердило новую Национальную стратегию действий в интересах женщин на 2023–2030 годы, ключевыми целями которой являются «соблюдение принципа равноправия мужчин и женщин в различных сферах жизни, а также повышение экономической независимости и политической активности россиянок». Целью ВКР является выявление и анализ особенностей женской гендерной социализации в современных обществах России и Китая. Цель ВКР конкретизируется в следующих задачах: – проанализировать теоретическо-методологические аспекты категории «гендера» и процесса гендерной социализации; – провести вторичный историко-социологический анализ феномена гендерной социализации; – провести сравнительный анализ особенностей женской гендерной социализации в России и Китае; – провести эмпирическое социогендерное исследование влияния гендерной социализации на жизненные сценарии российских и китайских женщин; – сформулировать выводы и охарактеризовать дальнейшие перспективы исследования выбранной темы.The significance of the Master's thesis is defined by the fact that female gender socialization is a process that continues throughout one's whole life: from birth to adulthood. Men and women are prescribed different behaviors, different gender roles and even different abilities. The thesis has societal relevancy due to the fact that on the 29th of December, 2022, The Government of the Russian Federation approved a new National Strategy for Women 2023-2030, the key purpose of which is to "achieve gender equality between men and women in all areas of life, and also increase both economic independence and political participation of Russian women". The aim of the Master's thesis is to detect and analyze the distinctive characteristics of female gender socialization in modern societies of Russia and China. Research objectives: – to analyze the theoretical and methodological aspects of the category of gender and the process of gender socialization; – to conduct a secondary historical and sociological analysis of the phenomenon of gender socialization; – to conduct a comparative analysis of the distinctive characteristics of female gender socialization in Russia and China; – to conduct an empirical research of the impact the process of gender socialization has on Russian and Chinese women's life scenarios; – to reach a conclusion and propose future research suggestions.
