Topical problems of the US-European vector of Russian foreign policy

Abstract

Объектом настоящего исследования являются российско-американские и российско-европейские отношения. Предметами нашего исследования являются принципы развития и актуальные проблемы российско-американских и российско-европейских отношений на современном этапе. Целью данного исследования является выявление и определение основных проблем на современном этапе развития российско-американских и российско-европейских отношений. Работа состоит из введения, трёх глав, заключения, а также списков источников и литературы. Во введении отражены основные цель и задачи, а также объект и предмет данного исследования, кроме того, проведён анализ источниковой базы и методологической основы данной работы, а также отмечены её актуальность и новизна. В первой главе рассматриваются основные этапы развития отношений России с США и Европейским Союзом в период до украинского кризиса 2013-2014 гг., а также выделяются ключевые моменты, повлиявшие на них. Во второй главе выявляются основные проблемы, в настоящее время проявляющихся в отношениях России и США, рассматриваются и анализируются основные внешнеполитические события в отношениях двух стран на современном этапе с целью выявления причин их появления и степени их влияния на двусторонние отношения России и США. В третьей главе рассматривается трансформация европейского подхода к построению отношений с Россией, выделяются основные проблемы в отношениях России и Евросоюза на современном этапе, а также определяются российский и европейский подходы по данным проблемам. В заключении отражены основные выводы данного исследования.The objects of this research are Russian-American and Russian-European relations. The subjects of our research are the principles of development and key problems of Russian-American and Russian-European relations at the present time. The purpose of this study is to elicit and identify the main problems at the present stage of Russian-American and Russian-European relations' development. The research consists of an introduction, three chapters, conclusion, and lists of sources and literature. The introduction reflects the main goal and objectives, as well as the object and subject of this study, in addition, an analysis of the source base and methodological basis of this work, along with its relevance and novelty. The first chapter examines the main stages in the development of Russia's relations with the United States and the European Union in the period before the 2013-2014 Ukrainian crisis, and highlights key points that have affected them. The second chapter identifies the main problems currently manifesting in relations between Russia and the United States, examines and analyzes the main foreign policy issues in the both countries' dealings at the present stage in order to identify the reasons for their appearance and the extent to which they affect the bilateral relations between Russia and the United States. The third chapter examines the transformation of the European approach to building relations with Russia, highlights the main problems in the interrelations between Russia and the European Union at the present time, as well as defines the Russian and European approaches to these problems. In conclusion, the main outputs of this study are reflected.
