Preservation of the Arctic Natural Heritage as a direction of the Humanitarian Development of the Region. Based on the examples of Russia and Canada

Современная Арктика стратегический регион для всей планеты, но особенно для Арктических держав. В этом регионе филигранно переплетены все сферы жизнедеятельности человека. Суровый климат диктует условия для сохранения запасов пресной воды в ледниках, но постепенное изменение климата угрожает как природе, так и человеку Северных широт. Коренные и малочисленные народы Севера укрощают природу. Мировое природное и культурное, материальное и нематериальное наследие сосуществует бок о бок с военными базами, шахтами и платформами по добыче нефти. Транспортные артерии опоясывают Северный ледовитый океан. Эпоха мирного сосуществования Арктических держав начинает обретать черты острых противоречий, становится площадкой не для дискуссии, а для продвижения идеологий.Arctic in the modernity appears to be a strategic political and cultural region for the whole planet Earth and its population. In the region every sphere of the human activity is intertwined. Severe climate conditions are a bless for the still water resources preservation, nevertheless at the same time this climate changes are endangering for the nature as well as for the North people living there. Indigenous people of the North tame the nature. World natural and cultural heritage as well as material and not material coexist along with the military bases, mines, and oil extraction platforms. Transport arteries cut up the ices and glaciers in the Arctic Ocean. Last but not the least the era of peaceful coexistence of the Arctic powers begins to take on the features of sharp contradictions, becoming a platform not for discussion, but for the promotion of ideologies.
