The geography of international activities of European and Asian football clubs

Abstract

В данной работе рассматривается география международной деятельности футбольных клубов Европы и Азии. Актуальность изучения данного вопроса связана с ростом роли футбола в глобальных экономических, политических и социальных процессах. Применение же географических методов позволяет находить пространственные закономерности в его развитии, что важно для понимания целостной картины. Целью исследования является выявление особенностей географии международной деятельности клубов. В нем анализируются методологические подходы к изучению футбола и определяются наиболее подходящие из них для изучения международной деятельности клубов. На основании существующих исследований и современной ситуации селекционная, экономическая и социальная сферы выделяются как ключевые в международной деятельности клубов и выявляются их пространственные особенности. С помощью применения мир-системного анализа выделяются ядро и периферия по каждой из перечисленных сфер и в общем по международной деятельности клубов. На основании этих данных и современных тенденций развития клубов произведена оценка перспектив развития международной деятельности футбольных клубов разных стран.This research focuses on the geography of international activities of football clubs in Europe and Asia. The study of this issue is important in view of the growing role of football in global economic, political and social processes. The application of geographical methods allows us to find spatial patterns in the development of football, which is important for understanding the whole situation. The aim of the study is to identify the features of the geography of international activities of clubs. It analyzes methodological approaches to the study of football and identifies the most appropriate ones for the study of international activities of clubs. Based on existing studies and the current situation selection, economic and social spheres are identified as key in the international activities of clubs and identify their spatial features. By means of application of the world-system analysis the core and periphery on each of the listed spheres and in general on international activity of clubs are allocated. On the basis of these data and modern tendencies of development of clubs the perspective of development of international activity of football clubs from different countries is made.
