The evolution of Brazil's foreign policy in the late 20th and early 21st centuries

Abstract

В данной работе рассматриваются особенности эволюции внешнеполитического курса Бразилии с конца XX века по настоящее время. Актуальность исследования обусловлена значимостью страны как участника международных отношений на современном этапе. Анализируется динамика развития внешней политики Бразилии в эпоху Кардозы-Лулы, а также изменения, внесенные Д. Руссефф и М. Темером во внешнеполитический курс их предшественников. В результате исследования автором были выявлены особенности проводимой внешней политики при последних четырех президентах Бразилии и продемонстрирована эволюция целей и задач стратегического развития страны.Presented study examines key elements of evolution of Brazil’s foreign policy from the end of XX century till present time. The relevance of the work is explained by the country`s importance as an actor of international relations in the modern period. Dynamics of development of Brazil`s external policy under Cardoso-Lula`s presidency was analysed as well changes made by D. Rousseff and M. Temer. As a result of the research the author presented main features of Brazil`s foreign policy under last four presidents and demonstrated the evolution of objectives and tasks of the country`s strategical development.
