National and cultural specificity of symbols in fiction text: A case study of Ivan Turgenev’s "Poems in Prose"

Диссертация посвящена исследованию национально-культурной специфики символов в тургеневском тексте («Стихотворения в прозе») с точки зрения лингвокультурологии. Символ рассматривается как лингвокультурологическая единица, которая представляет собой продукт человеческого сознания. В работе представлена классификация символов, встречающихся в тексте И.Тургенева, выделены архетипический, культурно-стереотипный и индивидуально-авторский типы, что позволяет выявить национально-культурную специфику анализируемых единиц. Анализ показывает, что символы, на которые опирается авторитетный для национальной культуры текст, имеют национально-культурную специфику. Эта специфика важна, с одной стороны, для глубинного понимания текстов, а с другой стороны – для эффективной коммуникации с носителями данного языка и культуры.The dissertation is devoted to the study of the national-cultural specificity of symbols in the Turgenev text ("Poems in prose") from the point of view of linguoculturology. The symbol is considered as a linguoculturological unit, which is a product of human consciousness. The paper presents the classification of symbols found in the text of I. Turgenev, identifies archetypal, cultural-stereotypical and individual-author types, which makes it possible to identify the national-cultural specifics of the analyzed units. The analysis shows that the symbols on which the text authoritative for national culture is based have national and cultural specifics. This specificity is important, on the one hand, for a deep understanding of texts, and on the other hand, for effective communication with native speakers of this language and culture.
