Abstract

In this study the concept of entrepreneurial orientation is used as a tool for examination of factors that influence the choice of foreign entry mode made by Russian companies. This research collates different studies to create comprehensive list of factors that in addition to the dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation define a way of foreign expansion of firms. Lubimy Kray, Dipaul and Untsia companies were chosen for the case analysis as leading players in their industries with distinctive organizational and market practices. As the outcome of analysis relationships between the different dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation and the choice of entry mode are defined and extensions for future research are proposed. The results can be used as a benchmark for organizational improvement and allow to conside , to focus companies willing to engage in strategic entrepreneurship and increase their firm innovativeness.
