Selecting and vocationally oriented language teaching of intending air traffic controllers

Abstract

Данное исследование посвящено вопросу отбора и организации содержания обучения профессионально-ориентированному английскому языку будущих авиадиспетчеров. Автор анализирует федеральные и международные требования к результатам обучения этих специалистов, понятие «содержание обучения», уточняет принципы отбора содержания обучения авиадиспетчеров, предлагает оптимальный подход к организации содержания обучения. Выдвигаемые положения иллюстрируются на примере одной из авиационных тем.The research deals with the problem of selecting leaning materials and placing them in the syllabus for teaching student air traffic controllers English for Specific Purposes. The author considers federal and international requirements to air traffic controller language proficiency, analyzes the concept of syllabus, and details the concept of leaning materials and principles of their selection. An optimal approach to organization of learning materials is offered. All erected propositions are illustrated with designed materials on an aviation-related topic.
