Social policies of the Federal Republic of Germany in the framework of the European Union's policies

Abstract

В данном исследовании была поставлена цель определить, каким образом происходит влияние социальных инициатив ЕС на социальную политику ФРГ. Для этого автор работы провел анализ развития социальной политики как одного из направлений европейской интеграции и определил ключевые аспекты социальной политики, где ЕС обладает правом давать рекомендации странам-членам по социальным вопросам или ставить общие цели по социальной политике. Было установлено, что Германия как один из лиеров ЕС заитересована в развитии сотрудничества с органами ЕС по социальным вопросам, так как это позволяет ФРГ решать социальные проблемы и в то же время развивать региональное сотрудничество.The key aim of this research was to determine how EU social initiatives influence the social policy of the Federal Republic of Germany. To do that the author conducted an analysis of the development of social policy as one of the integration areas and identified the key areas of social policy, where the EU has the competence to give recommendations to the Member States or set the common goals in the field of social policy. The author concluded that Germany as one of the EU leaders, is interested in the development of cooperation with the institutions of the EU since it helps Germany to solve its own social problems and, at the same time, promote regional cooperation.
