The impact of integrated urban development on agglomeration: Evidence from St.Petersburg

Abstract

В работе рассмотрена роль проектов комплексного освоения территории в формировании модели пространственного развития Санкт-Петербургской агломерации Определены характеристики, которым должен соответствовать проект застройки, чтобы его реализация способствовала формированию полицентрической модели. Идентифицированы количественные показатели для оценки соответствия проектов застройки характеристикам дополнительного центра агломерации. На основании выделенных показателей проведены анализ проекта комплексного освоения территории города-спутника «Южный» и его сравнение с проектом массовой жилой застройки.The research question of the thesis is the role of integrated territory development projects in the formation of the spatial development model of the St. Petersburg agglomeration. Сharacteristics of a building project that can lead to succesessful implementation of polycentric model were identified. Quantitative indicators of the projects compliance with the characteristics of the additional center of agglomeration are found out. Based on the selected indicators, the analysis of the project of integrated development of the territory of the satellite city "Yuzhny" is carried out and its comparison with the mass residential building project is analyzed.
