Abstract

The work contributes to the study of the functions of introductory words in a literary text, to the study of the individual style of the writer and the poetics of a particular work. The study of the actualization of semantics and persuasiveness on the material of the novel allows us to draw a conclusion about the the psychological, emotional and mental "I" of the characters, as well as to identify the relationship in the use of qualifying modus categories with the implementation of the author's ideological and philosophical ideas. The ideological and thematic complex of "The Aviator" is based on such concepts as time, history, justice, being-in-a-word, memory. The analysis of qualifying introductory words and expressions in the speech of the main characters helps to trace the embodiment of these concepts in the novel.
