Stylistic features of characters' speech and ways of their translation from German into Russian (on the example of the movie " Knockin' On Heaven's Door")

Abstract

Настоящая выпускная квалификационная работа посвящена изучению стилистических особенностей речи героев фильма «Достучаться до небес» на немецком материале, а также их передаче при переводе на русский язык. Цель данного исследования заключается в демонстрации влияния личностных характеристик персонажей и их принадлежности к определенной социальной группе на особенности их речи. Проведённое исследование выполнено на стыке таких дисциплин как кинематограф, лингвистика и переводоведение. Научная новизна исследования состоит в анализе речь персонажей и их первода на русский язык на материале фильма «Достучаться до небес», который ранее не выступал в качестве объекта исследования. Объектом исследования послужили субтитры к кинофильму «Достучаться до небес», а также их перевод на русский язык, предметом – стилистические особенности, формирующие речь персонажей фильма. Работа (55 стр.) состоит из введения, трех глав (одной теоретической, двух практических), заключения и списка литературы (47 источников). В первой главе содержится определение термина «киноперевод», описываются термины из области кинематографа, производится характеристика понятия «аудиовизуального перевода» и его видов. Вторая глава посвящена изучению основных характеристик исследуемого фильма. Проанализирована роль музыкального сопровождения, лейтмотивов и принципа оппозиций, на которых строится сюжет данного кинопроизведения. Третья глава содержит анализ речь главных и второстепенных персонажей фильма на немецком языке, а также анализ адекватности перевода их речи на русский язык. Результаты проведённого исследования показывают, что сами герои и смена их социальных ролей оказывают непосредственное влияние на их речь. Кроме того, было отмечено, что русский перевод оказался стилистически более сниженным, нежели немецкий оригинал.

This final qualification paper is devoted to the study of stylistic features of the speech of the heroes of the movie "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" on the German material, as well as their transfer in translation into Russian. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the influence of characters' personal characteristics and their belonging to a certain social group on their speech peculiarities. The research is carried out at the intersection of such disciplines as cinema, linguistics and translation studies. The scientific novelty of the study consists in analyzing the speech of characters and their translation into Russian on the material of the film "Knockin' On Heaven's Door", which has not previously acted as an object of research. The object of the study was the subtitles to the movie "Knockin' On Heaven's Door", as well as their translation into Russian, the subject was the stylistic features that form the speech of the characters in the movie. The paper (55 pages) consists of an introduction, three chapters (one theoretical, two practical), conclusion and a list of references (47 sources). The first chapter contains the definition of the term "film translation", describes the terms from the field of cinematography, characterizes the concept of "audiovisual translation" and its types. The second chapter is devoted to the study of the main characteristics of the film under study. It analyzes the role of musical accompaniment, leitmotifs and the principle of opposition, on which the plot of the film is based. The third chapter analyzes the speech of the main and minor characters of the film in German, as well as analyzes the adequacy of their speech translation into Russian. The results of this study show that the characters themselves and the change of their social roles have a direct impact on their speech. In addition, it was noted that the Russian translation turned out to be stylistically more reduced than the German original.
