Landscaping project for Apraksin Yard with the detailed design of the central part of the area

Abstract

Актуальность темы обусловлена значением Апраксина двора для Санкт-Петербурга как важного памятника архитектуры. Он является одной из центральных торговых зон города с почти полностью сохранившейся исторической застройкой XIX века и признан объектом культурного наследия. В настоящее время состояние комплекса вызывает серьёзные опасения. Это связано с такими проблемами как изношенность коммунальной и транспортной инфраструктур, аварийным состояние зданий, неэффективным использованием территории, а также низким уровнем безопасности и комфорта посетителей.

Сегодня инициативу приспособления Апраксина двора под современные нужды проявил Комитет по Государственному Контролю, Использованию и Охране Памятников Истории и Культуры. Он выдвинул тему в рамках конкурса на соискание премий Правительства Санкт-Петербурга за выполнение дипломных проектов по заданию исполнительных органов государственной власти Санкт-Петербурга в 2023/2024 учебном году.

Целью выпускной квалификационной работы являлась разработка дизайн-концепта интеграции рекреационных функций в исторически сложившуюся среду Апраксина двора, сохраняя целостную историческую застройку, инструментами средового дизайна.

Был произведён комплексный анализ Апраксина двора, включающий в себя исследование историко-культурного контекста, архитектурно-градостроительного контекста, существующего архитектурно-планировочного решения, а также социального контекста. В ходе анализа удалось выявить проблемы места проектирования и определить потенциал его развития.

Помимо этого, была проведена обширная работа с аналогами. В ходе анализа различных типов торговых зон, было определено их значение в социокультурной жизни города. Анализ ОКН с торговыми функциями, приспособленных к современным нуждам, помог выявить ключевые подходы и методики приспособления. В ходе рассмотрения зарубежного опыта адаптации центральных торговых зон в европейских городах, а также создания новых позволил определить основные принципы организации архитектурных решений центральных торговых зон. Вместе с тем был рассмотрен опыт музеефикации ОКН.

На основе результатов комплексного анализа, а также исследования аналогов была предложена концепция интеграции рекреационных функций в историческую среду Апраксина двора. Было предложено новое функциональное наполнение территории, объемно-пространственное решение, реорганизован транспортно-пешеходный каркас территории с учётом приоритета пешеходного движения, а также разработано благоустройство территории и музеефицировано здание.

Важно отметить, что особую роль в работе играло формирование яркого художественный образ места - «Историческая ярмарка», сотканного из воспоминаний и ассоциаций, связанных с Апраксиным двором. Образ пронизывает всю работу, оказывая влияние на каждый её аспект. Особое внимание было уделено центральной части территории, в частности приспособленному под музей истории торговли корпусу №21 и Яблочной площади. Эту группу можно назвать сердцем Апраксина двора, средоточием главной идеи места.

Проект содержит: пояснительную записку на 51 лист; иллюстративное приложение; проектную часть на трех выставочных планшетах формата 1400*1000, включающую в себя схемы, чертежи, 3-D визуализации, компьютерную презентацию.

Проектная часть работы выполнена в связке 3D-модели, созданной в «SketchUp 2022» и программы для пост-обработки «Twinmotion EDU 2023.1» и «Adobe Photoshop 2023», чертежи сделаны в «AutoCAD 2022», презентационные планшеты собраны в «Adobe Illustrator 2023», верстка пояснительная записка создана в «Microsoft Word 2016».

The relevance of the topic is due to the importance of Apraksin yard for St. Petersburg as an important architectural monument. It is one of the central shopping areas of the city with almost completely preserved historical buildings of the 19th century and is recognised as a cultural heritage site. Currently, the condition of the complex raises serious concerns. This is due to such problems as worn-out utility and transportation infrastructure, emergency condition of buildings, inefficient use of the territory, as well as low level of safety and comfort of visitors.

Today, the initiative to adapt the Apraksin yard for modern needs was taken by the Committee for State Control, Use and Protection of Monuments of History and Culture. It puts forward the topic within the framework of the competition for the St. Petersburg Government prizes for diploma projects commissioned by the executive bodies of St. Petersburg in the 2023/2024 academic year.

The aim of the final qualification work was to develop a design concept of integrating recreational functions into the historically formed environment of Apraksina yard, preserving the integral historical building, using the tools of environmental design.

A comprehensive analysis of Apraksin yard was carried out, including a study of the historical and cultural context, the architectural and urban planning context, the existing architectural and planning solution, and the social context. In the course of the analysis, it was possible to identify the problems of the design place and determine the potential for its development.

In addition, extensive work with analogues has been carried out. In the course of analysing different types of shopping areas, their importance in the socio-cultural life of the city was determined. The analysis of cultural heritage sites with shopping functions adapted to modern needs helped to identify key approaches and methods of adaptation. In the course of consideration of foreign experience of adaptation of central shopping areas in European cities, as well as the creation of new ones, it was possible to identify the main principles of the organisation of architectural solutions of central shopping areas. At the same time, the experience of museification of OKN was considered.

Based on the results of a comprehensive analysis, as well as a study of analogues, the concept of integrating recreational functions into the historical environment of Apraksin yard was proposed. A new functional filling of the territory, volumetric and spatial solution was proposed, the transport and pedestrian framework of the territory was reorganised taking into account the priority of pedestrian traffic, as well as the landscaping of the territory was developed and the building was museified.

It is important to note that a special role in the work was played in the formation of a vivid artistic image of the place - "Historical Fair", woven from memories and associations associated with the Apraksin yard. The image permeates the entire work, influencing every aspect of it. Special attention was paid to the central part of the territory, in particular to Building 21 and Apple Square, which has been adapted for a museum of trade history. This group can be called the heart of Apraksin yard, the centre of the main idea of the place.

The project contains: explanatory note on 51 sheets; illustrative appendix; project part on three exhibition tablets of 1400*1000 format including schemes, drawings, 3-D visualisations, computer presentation.

The design part of the work was done in a combination of 3D models created in "SketchUp 2022" and post-processing software "Twinmotion EDU 2023.1" and "Adobe Photoshop 2023", "Adobe Photoshop 2023", drawings were made in "AutoCAD 2022", presentation boards were assembled in "Adobe Illustrator 2023", layout of the explanatory note was created in "Microsoft Word 2016".
