Microspatial design as a means of adapting the environment in the context of intensive development: a case study of the Izmailovskaia Perspective area in St.Petersburg

Abstract

Актуальность темы обусловлена проблемами гуманизации среды в контексте интенсивного развития мегаполисов, проблемой утраты масштабных характеристик и идентичности среды новых жилых районов, необходимостью создания условий для освоения и персонализации подобных городских пространств. Развитие среды на микроуровне обладает большим потенциалом в качестве инструмента адаптации районов интенсивной застройки, преодоления существующих деформаций, создания комфортной городской среды.

В первой главе «Микро-пространства в контексте проблем формирования комфортной городской среды» выявляются проблемы гуманизации среды в условиях активного развития современного мегаполиса, раскрывается значимость дизайна среды, в частности, дизайна микро-пространств, как действенного инструмента адаптации и персонификации районов интенсивной застройки. На основе анализа теоретического опыта разработан типологический подход в систематизации и комплексной оценке микро-пространств, эффективность которого подтвердил анализ современной практики в данном направлении.

Во второй главе «Анализ средовых факторов развития микро-пространств района «Измайловская перспектива» в Санкт-Петербурге» методом историко-эволюционного анализа выявлены и исследованы этапы градостроительного развития района «Измайловская перспектива». На основе предложенного метода взаимосвязи структурных слоев среды выявлены факторы формирования и структурные особенности пространственной среды района, социально-демографические особенности, тенденции в формировании пешеходной инфраструктуры. По результатам проведенного анализа составлена карта ресурсов средовой адаптации городских пространств на микроуровне, которая ложится в основу апробации разработанной методики дизайна и интеграции микро-пространств.

В третьей главе «Методика дизайна и интеграции микро-пространств в среду районов интенсивной застройки (на примере района «Измайловская перспектива»)» представлена методика дизайна и интеграции микро-пространств, разработанная в форме модели-алгоритма. Даны предложения по формированию дизайн-кода среды как «памяти места» и основы идентичного художественного образа. Апробация теоретической основы исследования раскрыла потенциал района «Измайловская перспектива», показала практическую значимость разработанных методов и возможность создания в условиях интенсивной застройки комфортной среды, в которой микро-пространства выступают носителями дизайн-кода, отражающими «память места».

Разработанная методика будет способствовать повышению эстетической и социальной ценности среды районов интенсивной застройки, выявлению идентичности и ускорению процесса освоения новых территорий. Постепенное насыщение подобных районов системами микро-пространств видится важным этапом на пути формирования качественно новой среды мегаполисов, в основу которой ложится принцип гуманности среды, «города для человека».

The relevance of the topic is due to the problems of humanization of the environment in the context of the intensive development of megacities, the problem of the loss of scale characteristics and the identity of the environment of new residential areas, the necessity of creating conditions for the development and personalization in these urban spaces. The development of the environment at the micro level has great potential as a tool for adapting areas of intensive development, overcoming existing deformations and creating a comfortable urban environment.

In the first chapter "Micro-spaces in the context of the problems of creating a comfortable urban environment" revealed the problems of humanization of the environment in the conditions of active development of the modern megacities, the importance of environmental design, in particular, the design of micro-spaces, as an effective tool for adapting and personifying areas of intensive development. Based on the analysis of theoretical experience, a typological approach has been developed in the systematization and comprehensive assessment of micro-spaces, the effectiveness of which was confirmed by the analysis of modern practice in this direction.

In the second chapter "Analysis of environmental factors in the development of micro-spaces in the "Izmailovskaya perspective" district in Saint Petersburg" according to the method of historical and evolutionary analysis revealed and investigated the stages of urban development of the area "Izmailovskaya perspective". On the basis of the proposed method of interconnection of the structural layers of the environment, the factors of formation and structural features of the spatial environment of the area, socio-demographic features, trends in the formation of pedestrian infrastructure were identified. Based on the results of the analysis, a map of resources for the environmental adaptation of urban spaces at the micro level was compiled, which forms the basis for approbation of the developed methodology for the design and integration of micro-spaces.

In the third chapter "Methodology for the design and integration of micro-spaces into the environment of areas of intensive development (on the example of the Izmailovskaya perspective area)" presented a methodology for the design and integration of micro-spaces, developed in the form of a model-algorithm. Suggestions are given on the formation of the design code of the environment as a "memory of place" and the basis of an identical artistic image. Approbation of the theoretical basis of the study revealed the potential of the Izmailovskaya perspective area, showed the practical significance of the developed methods and the possibility of creating a comfortable environment in conditions of intensive development, in which micro-spaces act as carriers of the design code, reflecting the "memory of the place".

The developed methodology will contribute to increasing the aesthetic and social value of the environment of areas of intensive development, identifying identity and accelerating the process of developing new territories. The gradual saturation of such areas with systems of micro-spaces is seen as an important step towards the formation of a qualitatively new environment of megacities, which is based on the principle of humanity of the environment, “a city for a person”.
