The assessment of the ecological favourability of the existence of hydrobiological communities in the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland

Abstract

В работе рассмотрены методологические и теоретические подходы к определению понятия «экологическая благоприятность существования вида на акватории/территории». Предложен индексный метод интегральной оценки благоприятности существования гидробиологических сообществ Восточной части Финского залива (ВЧФЗ) с применением ГИС на основе данных дистанционного зондирования Земли, скоррелированных с экспертной оценкой. Рассчитаны индексы и построены карто-схемы благоприятности акватории для организмов в зависимости от замутненности вод за 9 лет в период с 1994 по 2021 гг. В ходе работы был сделан вывод, что акватория ВЧФЗ может рассматриваться как относительно благоприятная для существования гидробиологических сообществ.

The paper considers methodological and theoretical approaches to the definition of the concept of «ecological favorability of species existence in the water area/territory». An index method of integral assessment of the favorability of hydrobiological communities existence in the Eastern part of the Gulf of Finland (EGoF) using GIS based on remote sensing data of the Earth, correlated with expert assessment is proposed. The favorability indices of the water area for organisms depending on the turbidity of waters were calculated and cartographies for 9 years in the period from 1994 to 2021. In the course of the work, it was concluded that the EGoF water area can be regarded as relatively favorable for the existence of hydrobiological communities.
