Traditions of the adventure novel in the works of V. Nabokov

Abstract

Настоящая работа посвящена изучению русскоязычных романов В. В. Набокова и функционированию в них черт авантюрной литературы. В современном литературоведении не утихает интерес к феномену писателя, переводчика и литературоведа В. В. Набокова. Произведения писателя часто рассматриваются, как «романы-воспитания», философские, автобиографические, интеллектуальные романы. Но почти не существует работ, где романы В. Набоковы были бы рассмотрены как наследие авантюрной литературы. В данной диссертации делается попытка осмыслить тексты В. Набокова «русского периода» с точки зрения канонов авантюрного романа, что позволит по-новому взглянуться на тексты писателя, предложить читателю еще один путь к восприятию произведений В. Набокова. Этим определяется актуальность работы. В ходе анализа были достигнуты следующие результаты: структурированы научные исследования, посвященные становлению и развитию жанра авантюрного романа в XIX – начале ХХ вв.; проанализированы произведения «русского» периода творчества В. Набокова и выявлены жанровые особенности авантюрного романа, специфика его сюжетостроения, хронотопа, черты героя-авантюриста; была предпринята попытка определить трансформацию природы авантюрного романа в творчестве В. Набокова.

The present work is devoted to the study of V. V. Nabokov's Russian-language novels and the functioning of the features of adventure literature in them. In modern literary studies there is a growing interest in the phenomenon of the writer, translator and literary critic V.V. Nabokov. His works are often regarded as "educational novels", philosophical, autobiographical, intellectual novels. But there are almost no works where V. Nabokov's novels have been considered as a legacy of adventure literature. This dissertation attempts to interpret Nabokov's texts of the "Russian period" from the point of view of the canons of the adventure novel, which will give a new perspective on the writer's texts and offer the reader another way to perceive Nabokov's works. Nabokov's works. This determines the relevance of the work. In the course of the analysis the following results have been achieved: scientific research devoted to the formation and development of the adventure novel genre in the 19th - early 20th centuries has been structured; works of the "Russian" period of Nabokov's work have been analyzed and genre features of the adventure novel, specifics of it’s the structure organization of the subject, chronotope, features of the adventurer hero have been identified; an attempt has been made to determine the transformation of the nature of the adventure novel in the works of V. Nabokov.
