Emotion as a symptom of sulture: A study of Italian literature of the Fascist period

Abstract

Цель работы: исследовать скуку как феномен культуры Италии второй половины ХХ века. Задачи работы: - рассмотреть влияние фашизма, с его идеологией и организацией повседневности на появление определенной эмоциональной реакции и её выражение в культуре; - выявить существенные тематические и характерологические признаки героев литературы, воплощающих феномен скуки; - определить особенности кинематографического выражения феномена скуки в культуре Италии. В своей работе я буду опираться на различные источники - художественная литература, историческая литература, философские исследования и труды. Моя работа состоит из пяти глав: философия скуки в аналитике культуры; метафизика скуки в произведениях Альберто Моравия; феномен скуки в творчестве Васко Пратолини; проблема скуки, поднимаемая в кинокартинах эпохи неореализма; влияние фашизма на появление "скучающих" героев. Результаты данного исследования могут быть использованы преподавателями вузов, а так же студентами отделений философской и культурологической направленности.

Purpose of work: to investigate the boredom as a cultural phenomenon in Italy of the second half of the twentieth century. Objectives of work: - Consider the impact of fascism, with its ideology and organization of everyday life in the emergence of a certain emotional response and its expression in culture; - Identify the essential thematic and characterological features of literature heroes embodying the phenomenon of boredom; - Determine the characteristics of cinematic expression of the phenomenon of boredom in the culture of Italy. In my work, I will draw on various sources - literature, historical literature, and philosophical studies and writings. My work consists of five chapters: a philosophy of boredom in the analyst of culture; the metaphysics of boredom in the works of Alberto Moravia; the phenomenon of boredom in the works of Vasco Pratolino; the problem of boredom raised in the era of neo-realism motion pictures; the influence of fascism on the appearance of the "bored" heroes. The results of this research can be used by teachers of high schools, as well as a student of the philosophical and culturological orientation.
