The struggle between Germany and the Allies for the influence over Sweden in 1939 - 1943: Evidence from the archives of the Communist International and foreign diplomatic documents

Abstract

В данной работе рассматривается борьба за влияние на Швецию стран антигитлеровской коалиции (Великобритания, США, СССР) и Германии за период 1939-1943 гг. Основными источниками данной работы послужили сборники дипломатических документов: Documents on German Foreign Policy. Ser. D; Foreign relations of the United States diplomatic papers; Документы внешней политики СССР. Также автором использовались документы посвященные деятельности Коммунистического Интернационала: Коминтерн и Вторая мировая война; Коминтерн и Финляндия; и бумаги из т.н. Архива Коминтерна (в РГАСПИ).

Работа состоит из четырех глав. В первой анализируются взаимоотношения Швеции с Германией, СССР и с Великобританией в первые полгода войны. Вторая глава отражает положение Швеции за период с апреля 1940 по июнь 1941 гг. на международной арене в условиях подчинения внешнеполитическому курсу Германии. Третья и четвертая главы рассматривают изменения во взаимоотношениях Стокгольма с Германией и странами антигитлеровской коалиции в 1941-1943 гг. до и после вступления во Вторую мировую войну США соответственно.

This work contains the analysis of the struggle between the Anti-Hitler coalition and Germany during the 1939-1943 for influence on Sweden. The main sources of this work are the collections of diplomatic documents: "Documents on German Foreign Policy. Ser. D"; "Foreign relations of the United States diplomatic papers"; "Documents of Soviet foreign policy". The author has also used collections documents related to the activities of the Communist International: "The Comintern and the Second World War"; "Comintern and Finland"; and the papers from the so-called "Archive of the Comintern" (in Russian State Archive of Socio-Political History).

The work consists of four chapters. The first analyzes the relationships between Sweden and Germany, the USSR and Great Britain in the first six months of the war. The second chapter reflects the international situation for the period from April 1940 to June, 1941. related to Sweden subordinated to the foreign policy of Germany. The third and the fourth chapters examines the changes in Stockholm's relations with Germany and the countries of the Anti-Hitler coalition in 1941-1943. before and after the involvement into the Second World War the United States.
