DBMS (Darabase Management System) development: a case study of field investigations by the Institute of Earth Sciences, St Petersburg State University in lake-glacial complexes of the Antarctic oases and the Altai region

При решении практически важных гидрологических задач требуется привлечение современных комплексов программ. Разработанная база данных, объединяющая разнородную графическую информацию, данные измерений и данные наблюдений, позволяет эффективно решать различные прикладные задачи. Так, созданная база данных была использована для разработки композитного индекса прорывоопасности антарктических озер, на примере озер оазиса Холмы Ларсеманн.

When solving practically important hydrological problems, it is necessary to involve modern software packages. The developed database, combining heterogeneous graphical information, measurement data and observational data, makes it possible to effectively solve various applied problems. Thus, the created database was used to develop a composite index of the outburst hazard of Antarctic lakes, using the example of the lakes of the Larsemann Hills oasis.
