На сегодняшний день самым распространённым источником информации является Интернет, и газеты стали публиковать в онлайн-формате, что позволяет нам читать самые свежие и громкие новости. Просматривая новости на просторах Интернета, в первую очередь бросаются в глаза заголовки, что неудивительно, ведь их первоначальная функция заключается в привлечении внимания читателя. В работе «Языковая манипуляция в заголовках англоязычных газет» представлен анализ некоторых способов языковой актуализации методов манипулятивного воздействия, применяемых в заголовках англоязычных новостных репортажей. Основными методами исследования являются, метод непосредственного наблюдения материала с последующим анализом и обобщением результатов, контекстуально-интерпретационный метод.

Nowadays the most common source of information is the Internet: paper newspapers started to present their news in online, which allow us to read the most recent and breaking news. While searching the Internet and looking through news the very first thing, that catch our eyes, is a headline and there is no wonder because its main function is to attract. The thesis “The language manipulation in the headlines of English-language newspapers” provides the analysis of some means of language representation of such notions of manipulative influence, used in English-language news reports headlines. The main methods of the analysis are the method of linguistic description, with subsequent analysis and generalization of the results, contextually-interpretative method.
