The linguistic means and verbal devices of marking text subjects zones in "Letter Book", a novel by Mikhail Shishkin

Abstract

Данная работа посвящена выявлению языковых средств и речевых приемов маркирования зон субъектов текста на материале романа М.П. Шишкина «Письмовник». В первой главе представлены актуальные вопросы изучения нарратологии, даны определения таким ключевым для нашей работы понятиям как «повествовательная структура текста», «субъектная организация текста», «повествовательные уровни», «нарратор», «наррататор», «точка зрения, описаны различные теории и подходы к выделению субъектов речи и субъектов сознания в тексте. Во второй главе нами были рассмотрены жанровые особенности произведения М.П. Шишкина и их влияние на повествовательную организацию текста. Опираясь на теорию Е.В. Падучевой, мы рассмотрели главных субъектов текста (Володю, Сашу и повествователя) как субъектов речи, сознания, дейксиса и восприятия и выделили лингвистические основания для их разграничения в тексте. Нами было доказано, что фигура повествователя действительно может быть лингвистически выделена в данном романе, и выполняет важнейшие функции в мире художественного произведения. Кроме того, нами было показано, как лингвистический анализ речевых партий героев может отражать этапы изменения сознания героев и их развитие на протяжении романа. Значимость работы заключается в подготовке материалов для комментария, который может быть использован на занятиях с иностранными учащимися при чтении романа М.П. Шишкина, а также для демонстрации общих тенденций современного русского художественного текста при работе с филологами.

This thesis is dedicated to detection of language means and communicative devices of marking the zones of the subject based on the text ‘‘Letter book’’ by Shishkin M. The first chapter presents the questions of current interest concerning studying narratology as well as provides definitions for such key notions as ‘‘narrative text structure’’, ‘‘subjectival text structure’’, ‘‘narrative instances’’, ‘‘narrator’’, ‘‘narratator’’ and ‘‘perspective’’. In addition, the thesis includes the survey of theories and methods of highlighting the subjects of consciousness and speech in the text. In the second paragraph, there were genre features of the fiction work by Shishkin M. considered as well as their influence on the narrative structure of the text. Based on the theory by Paducheva E., we examined main subjects of the text (Volodya, Sasha and the narrator) as the subjects of speech, consciousness, deixis and perception and marked linguistics basis for the division in the text. The thesis provides the proof that a figure of narration, in fact, can be linguistically marked in this novel and plays a significant role in the context of fiction literature. Moreover, we described how linguistic analysis of speech portrayal can reflect the development of characters and the stages of their consciousness changes during the whole novel. The importance of this thesis lies in the preparation of materials for commenting, which can be used in the classes with foreign students while reading novel of Shishkin M. Furthermore, this work can be displayed to philologists as the example of common tendencies of contemporary Russian fiction.
