Preservation and museumification of the architectural monuments on the Kamenny and the Elagin Islands of St. Petersburg: A comparative analysis

Аннотация Тема диссертационной работы "Сравнительный анализ сохранения и музеефикации памятников архитектуры Каменного и Елагина островов Санкт-Петербурга". Диссертация включает в себя введение, три главы, заключение, библиографический список и приложение. Целью работы является проведение сравнительного анализа исторических построек Каменного и Елагина островов, выявление критериев охранной деятельности, определение способов музеефикации дворянских усадеб как памятников историко-культурного наследия. Актуальность темы обусловлена тем, что в современных условиях все большее значение приобретает изучение различных форм и практик музеефикации историко-культурного и архитектурно-ландшафтного наследия, вопрос о регистрации исторической местности в качестве особо охраняемой природной территории. В первой главе исследуется генезис историко-художественных ансамблей Каменного и Елагина островов с середины XVIII века по 1917 год. В историографическом обзоре анализируются материалы культурологического, юридического, мемуарного характера: монографии, научные статьи, мемуары, очерки, путеводители, словари, правовые документы, планы, чертежи. Во второй главе выявляется статус Каменного и Елагина островов, определяются меры по сохранению историко-культурного и природного наследия в период с 1917 года по XXI век. Проводится анализ музеефикации памятников архитектуры, развития градостроительной планировки архитектурно-паркового ансамбля Каменного острова на рубеже XX-XXI веков. Рассматриваются примеры музеефикации историко-культурных пространств. В третьей главе представлены концептуальные разработки музеефикации Каменного острова как туристического объекта: предлагаются варианты экскурсионных маршрутов, развития инфраструктуры, визуализации памятников архитектуры и парковой зоны.

Abstract The subject of the thesis is "The Comparative Analysis of the Preservation and Museumification of the Monuments of Kamenny and Elagin Islands of Saint Petersburg". The thesis includes an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, a bibliography and application. The aim of this work is to conduct the comparative analysis of historical buildings of Kamenny Island and Elagin Island, identifying criteria of protection activities, identifying ways of museumification of manorial estates as memorials of historical and cultural heritage. In modern conditions the relevance of the subject is based on the growing importance of the study of the various forms and practices of museumification of historical-cultural and landscape heritage, the issue of the registration of the historical area as a protected natural area. The first chapter explores the genesis of historical-artistic ensembles of Kamenny Island and Elagin Island from the middle of XVIII century to 1917. In the historiographical overview it analyses cultural materials and legal ones: monographs, scientific articles, memoirs, essays, guide books, dictionaries, legal documents, plans, drawings. The second chapter reveals the status of Kamenny Island and Elagin Island, defines necessary measures for the conservation of historical, cultural and natural heritage in the period starting from 1917 to the twenty-first century. It analyses the museumification of the architectural memorials, the development of the urban planning of the architectural and park ensemble of Kamenny Island at the turn of XXI century. Some examples of museumification of the historical and cultural spaces are examined in the chapter. The third chapter presents the conceptual development plan of museumification of Kamenny Island as a tourist object: it offers some options of tour routes, options for development of infrastructure, the visualization of the architectural memorials and park areas.
