Dynamics and forecast of morbidity and mortality from prostate cancer in St. Petersburg

Abstract

The paper presents the characteristics of primary disease incidence, prevalence and mortality from prostate cancer among men’s population of St. Petersburg (normal and age-standartized rates). An analysis of these indexes throughout 20 years is given. The level of the incidence increased 4,4-fold; prevalence — 4,5-fold; mortality — 2,1-fold. Age-standardized rates were increased too. The trends of these indicators up to 2020 are shown. Refs 11. Figs 10.
