Sicilian dialect in the works by Luigi Pirandello

Abstract

Тема ВКР: «Сицилийский диалект в творчестве Луиджи Пиранделло». Объём ВКР: 80 страниц, 2 рисунка и 2 таблицы. При написании ВКР использовалось 37 литературных источников и 13 интернет-ресурсов. Цель ВКР: на основе сравнительного анализа лексических единиц, иллюстрирующих фонетические явления в тексте научного труда Пиранделло «Звуки и развитие звуков говора Агридженто» и аналогичных единиц в тексте пьесы «Лиола», выявить степень реализации теоретических установок писателя на практике - в его литературных произведениях. Объектом исследования являются расхождения, выявляемые в звуковом составе лексических единиц, которые встречаются в обоих сочинениях Пиранделло. Предметом исследования при написании ВКР послужили диалектные лексические единицы, встречающиеся в тексте дипломного сочинения Пиранделло «Звуки и развитие звуков говора Агридженто» и в тексте пьесы «Лиола», написанной на диалекте Агридженто. Лексические единицы выделяются методом сплошного отбора. Источниками языкового материала послужили дипломное сочинение Пиранделло и пьеса «Лиола» на диалекте Агридженто. По итогам проведённого исследования делается вывод о том, что Пиранделло не всегда следует собственным теоретическим установкам на практике. Это происходит вследствие трёх причин: влияние итальянского языка на диалект, вариативность впервые устанавливаемой произносительной нормы диалекта, приближенность речи персонажей к живой речи. Настоящее исследование позволило в более полном объеме представить роль сицилийского диалекта в творчестве Л. Пиранделло и деятельность писателя как филолога-диалектолога.

The theme of the bachelor thesis: "Sicilian dialect in the works by Luigi Pirandello". The volume of the bachelor thesis is 80 pages, including 2 figures and 2 tables. When writing the bachelor thesis, 37 literary sources and 13 Internet resources were used. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to reveal the extent to which Pirandello’s theoretical principles are realized in practice, in his works, on the basis of a comparative analysis of lexical units illustrating the phonetic phenomena in the text of Pirandello's dissertation "Sounds and Developments of Sounds in the Speech of Girgenti" and similar units in the text of the play "Lшola". The object of the study is the divergences found in the sound form of the lexical units, occurring in both works by Pirandello. The subject of the study is dialect lexical units occurring in the text of Pirandello’s dissertation "Sounds and Developments of the Sounds in the Speech of Girgenti" and in the text of the play "Liola", written in the dialect of Agrigento. Lexical units are picked out by the continuous sampling method. The sources of the language material are the dissertation of Pirandello and the play "Liola" written in the dialect of Agrigento. Basing on the results of this study, we can conclude that Pirandello does not always follow his own theoretical principles in practice. This is due to three reasons: the influence of the Italian language on the dialect, the variability of the first established standard of the dialect, the proximity of the speech of the characters to living speech. This study has allowed to present more thoroughly the role of the Sicilian dialect in the works by L. Pirandello and the activities of the writer as a philologist-dialectologist.
