Hygroscopic and condensation properties of bioaerosol particles

Abstract

Биологический аэрозоль, то есть частицы растительного происхождения диаметром от нескольких нанометров до десятков микрон (например, пыльца растений, споры грибов, остатки растительности, бактерии и т.д.) составляет 15~25% глобальной аэрозольной массы. Как и любой другой аэрозоль, биочастицы участвуют во многих атмосферных процессах – рассеивают и поглощают свет, служат ядрами конденсации. Но при этом, степень влияния биоаэрозолей на атмосферные процессы остается плохо изученной. Целью научной работы является получение экспериментальных данных о механизмах взаимодействия биочастиц с атмосферным водяным паром, их гигроскопических свойств. Подобные данные можно использовать для упрощения прогнозирования результата их влияния на радиационное возмущение атмосферы.

Biological aerosol is particles of plant origin ranging in diameter from a few nanometers to tens of microns (for example, plant pollen, fungal spores, vegetation residues, bacteria, etc.) constitute 15-25% of the global aerosol mass. Like any other aerosol, bioparticles are involved in many atmospheric processes - scatter and absorb light, serve as condensation nuclei. But at the same time, the degree of influence of bioaerosols on atmospheric processes remains poorly studied. The aim of the scientific work is to obtain experimental data on the mechanisms of interaction of bioparticles with atmospheric water vapor and their hygroscopic properties. Such data can be used to simplify the prediction of the result of their influence on the radiation disturbance of the atmosphere.
