The cooperation of executive and legislative authorities on the issue of immigration in the United States of America during the presidency of Barak Obama

Abstract

В данной работе автором рассматривается взаимодействие исполнительной и законодательной ветвей власти в США в области регулирования иммиграции в период президентства Барака Обамы. Особое внимание уделяется анализу иммиграционной политики США, ее основным проблемам и противоречиям, возникающим при принятии нового законодательства в период президентства Б. Обамы. В работе анализируется Иммиграционный указ Барака Обамы, подписание которого привело к конфликту между Президентом и Конгрессом. В результате исследования автор приходит к выводу, что в данной сфере законодательная власть имеет больше полномочий, чем исполнительная. Кроме того, автором даются прогнозы относительно будущего иммиграционного законодательства США.

This study examines the cooperation between executive and legislative authorities in the United States of America on the issue of immigration during Barak Obama's presidency. The special attention is paid to analysis of the immigration policy of the U.S, its main problems and contradictions emerging from the adoption of new legislation during Barak Obama's presidency. In this work author analyzes the Immigration fiat which caused the conflict between the President and Congress. The author comes to the conclusion that the legislative authority has more powers in this area than executive one. Also the author provides a forecast on the future of the US immigration policy.
