Spatial motion of passively gravitating body is investigated within the framework of the restricted three-body problem. The exact expression of the force function without expanding it in a series is used. The influence of the perturbing star as it approaches the Sun on the orbit of Jupiter is investigated. It is shown that a star approaching the Solar system on a hyperbolic orbit to the minimum distance of 50 to 100 au with a mass of one to five solar masses, affects the size and shape of the orbit of Jupiter significantly only in the case, when the trial star is at perihelion, and Jupiter is in conjunction or in opposition to it. The results obtained are shown in the form of figures and tables.en_GB
