Название: Online repurchase intention: Empirical study on the household equipment market
Авторы: Videlaine, Geraldine; Scaringella, Laurent
Краткий осмотр (реферат): The explosion of e-commerce has enabled consumers to purchase goods online. We have developed
a conceptual framework based on the technology acceptance model, the expectation-confirmation
theory and the concept of information systems continuance. Our intent is to conduct an
empirical study on consumers’ online repurchase of household equipment, which has not been
undertaken before. 218 respondents answered our survey on the intention of online repurchase
of IKEA products. Structural equation modeling has been used for the analysis. Concerning
the household equipment market, our findings indicate that past Internet shopping experience
affects online customers’ perceived ease of use, confirmation and satisfaction. The usability of
a website affects trust, perceived enjoyment and usefulness. Customers’ confirmation affects
satisfaction, but not perceived usefulness. Intention to repurchase household equipment online
is positively affected by perceived usefulness and satisfaction. Analysis of our data leads to the counter-intuitive finding that online repurchase intention is negatively affected by perceived
enjoyment. Our study contributes to bring together several extant online repurchase intention
models.2019-12-01T00:00:00ZDoes competition enforcement prevent competitive strategies of digital platforms: Evidence from BRICS

Название: Does competition enforcement prevent competitive strategies of digital platforms: Evidence from BRICS
Авторы: Avdasheva, Svetlana B.; Korneeva, Dina V.
Краткий осмотр (реферат): Competitive strategies of platforms often involve contractual arrangements that might be considered
as anticompetitive. Since recent decisions of European Commission after investigations
against Google in 2017 and 2018, and Bundeskartellamt against Facebook in 2019, the standards
of liability for abuses applied by competition authorities will influence business models of digital
platforms. This paper summarizes theories of harm applied by BRICS competition authorities
applied towards multi-sided platforms under investigations. One may expect that BRICS approach
to be harsher compared to mature competition jurisdictions. However, a comparison
shows that discrimination and tying with exclusionary effects have been the focus of investigations
and decisions in BRICS. Remedies in the infringement decisions are intended to protect
rivalry through “no restriction of multihoming” conditions. There is no evidence that BRICS
authorities apply a specific economic theory of multi-sided platforms. At the same time, BRICS
competition enforcement could be applied as one of the legal instruments when one platform
tries to crowd out another from global markets.2019-12-01T00:00:00ZMulti-sided platforms: Current state and future research

Краткий осмотр (реферат): In the digital age traditional ways of doing business have been transformed by a group of new
platform-driven companies like Facebook, Amazon, Uber, Airbnb and some others. This relatively
new digital economy research phenomenon requires inclusive understanding. The paper explores
and questions platform research in the context of digital MSPs. It provides main definitions
and discusses the concept of digital platform stack framework. The characteristics, advantages
and disadvantages, opportunities and threats associated with the activities of digital platforms
have been considered. The paper systematizes current research with a focus on the platform
digital transformation, strategy, business models and architecture and suggests agenda for
future research.2019-12-01T00:00:00ZGuest Editors’ Introduction

Название: The contemporary problems of corporate education in Russian companies: Can there be learning without development?
Авторы: Zavyalova, Elena K.; Ardichvili, Alexandre
Краткий осмотр (реферат): The article is devoted to contemporary problems of corporate education in Russian companies.
It consistently solves three issues: analysis of quantitative and qualitative dynamics
of corporate education system formation based on secondary information data, investigation
of factors that influenced the process of corporate education system formation, critical
analysis of the results of the ongoing changes from the standpoint of psychological science.
A significant development and transformation of the corporate education system in Russian
companies has been noted over the past three years. However, changes do not always produce
the expected results. Analyzing the “resource — result” link from the position of the double
loop learning concept suggested by C. Argyris, the authors come to the conclusion that there
exist problems of organizational and methodological nature that affect the performance of
corporate education. The causes of these problems are related to the psychological mechanisms
underlying the adult learning process. Psychological and pedagogical approaches to overcoming
these problems are proposed.2019-12-01T00:00:00ZBusiness process modeling in the digital age

Название: Business process modeling in the digital age
Авторы: Terekhov, Andrey N.; Platonova, Maria V.
Краткий осмотр (реферат): Newly emerged in the Russian society trend towards digitalization is gaining increasing number
of applications. Business processes modeling based on modern IT approaches has a large potential
for improving the efficiency and reliability of various manufacturing systems. Unfortunately,
studies that offer specific tools for formal description of manufacturing processes are rare. In
this paper we propose a four-stage system for modeling business processes: design, visualization,
construction of a logical model and, finally, generation of a computer code (CASE technology).
This technology for business processes modeling, as well as specific products based on it, can be
widely used in manufacturing processes, from document workflow automation to the operation
of numerically controlled machines. The proposed tool can help to increase the productivity of
personnel of organizations and optimize manufacturing processes. The automatic code generation
eliminates one of the main drawbacks of software development — the code does not contain
input errors.2019-12-01T00:00:00ZCapital buffer of Russian banks and economic cycle: Assessment of influence

Название: Capital buffer of Russian banks and economic cycle: Assessment of influence
Авторы: Pustovalova, Tatiana A.; Svetlov, Kirill V.
Краткий осмотр (реферат): The article considers the relationship between the capital buffer and the stages of the economic
cycle. The relevance of this research is determined by the fact that, according to the
Basel III standards, the Central Bank of Russia has introduced the additional component of
the capital adequacy standard, the countercyclical buffer. The countercyclical buffer is aimed at creating a special reserve, which is created during periods of economic growth and used to
support bank’s activities during recessions. The paper analyzes determinants of the capital
buffer by constructing a panel regression based on the System GMM method using data from
48 Russian banks. The main result of the study was the confirmation of an inverse relationship
between the size of the capital buffer and GDP growth rate for large and medium domestic
banks. Besides, we consider the impact on the capital buffer size of such indicators as ROE,
the share of non-performing loans in a bank’s portfolio and the size of a loan portfolio itself.2019-12-01T00:00:00ZFactors of migration intentions of talented graduates from leading Russian universities

Краткий осмотр (реферат): Migration of highly-skilled workforce from Russia (including Russian university graduates)
continues to grow, threatening the possibility of sustainable development of the country due to
the loss of human capital. The article discusses migration intention determinants of talented
graduates and explores the role of talent management practices in overcoming brain drain in the
Russian context. Using logistic regression model we examine the relationship between graduates’
migration intentions and individual, industry and country-level factors. We also discuss the
potential role of business in solving the problem of human capital outflow, namely through the
implementation of talent management practices acting as mechanisms for retention of talented
graduates of leading Russian universities in the country.2019-12-01T00:00:00ZRussian Listed Companies: Controlling Shareholders and Their Conduct

Название: Russian Listed Companies: Controlling Shareholders and Their Conduct
Авторы: Belikov, Igor V.; Dementieva, Alla G.
Краткий осмотр (реферат): The high concentration of ownership has remained the key feature of Russian companies, including
publicly traded companies. Even at the peak of the romance with Western portfolio investors,
the controlling shareholders of Russian listed companies put the full control at the top of their
priorities. In the 2000s, the Russian listed companies’ controlling shareholders sought gradual
accommodation with minority shareholders and a gradual acceptance of Western corporate
governance practices and thus espoused market capitalization as an important strategic goal.
This was reversed in the 2010s as the rapidly tightening grip of the state on private business
and mounting restrictions on Western investment in the Russian economy took hold. It has
also reduced a market demand for Western best corporate governance practices on the part of
Russian controlling shareholders. After 2014, most controlling shareholders of Russian listed
companies have switched to the strategy of acting as junior partners of the state. This switch
has largely diminished their market orientation and the demand for Western-style corporate
governance. The future of the large Russian listed companies fully depends on the relations of
their majority owners with the Russian state and thus remains uncertain.2019-12-01T00:00:00ZWhat drives consumers smart? The challenge of adoption of smart city solutions

Название: What drives consumers smart? The challenge of adoption of smart city solutions
Авторы: Malchenko, Yulia A.; Smirnova, M. M.
Краткий осмотр (реферат): Following increasing usage of digital technology-based solutions, many cities pushed the
concept of smartness for efficient utilisation of limited resources. Smart cities require close
collaboration between the city governance, business, and consumer communities to develop
solutions for various circles of stakeholders. While most of studies in this field focused on
digital technology, the importance of citizen-centric approach has gathered the momentum.
However, there is a lack of research on adoption of smart city solutions by citizens. In practice,
while consumer feedback was proposed, factors enhancing consumer willingness to
adopt smart city solutions were not identified. This study aims to propose a framework by
introducing an integrative citizen-centric bottom up approach based on consolidation of insights
from literature dedicated to innovation adoption and smart city solutions. The suggested
framework is accompanied by propositions for future research focusing on digital
natives as future consumers of smart solutions.2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
