Mr. Rossbach has chosen a topic that he has taken very much to heart. He was inspired by the concept of constructive journalism and brought his journalistic experience to the research and writing of the master thesis. In Dece, ber 2016 he participated in an International Conference organized by Brussels Institute for Journalism Studies on Constructive Journalism, taking expert interviews with key persons in research of constructive journalism as well in its practice – such as Cathrine Gyldensted from Windesheim University of Applied Sciences and Karel Smouter, Deputy Editor-in-Chief at De Correspondent. The thesis was written with scrupulous care and consummate craftsmanship. Mr. Rossbach was highly concerned about the quality and reliability of his research. Choosing methods for the research Mr. Rossbach took into consideration real possibilities and restrictions of a master thesis and invested lot of efforts into a structured and realistic research design. I would like to accentuate his patience and constancy to purpose – to get six expert interviews with editors from Russian news agencies dozens were invited and asked for an interview. He has shown compliance with the pressures and calmness under pressure – the features that are extremely important not only for journalist but for all longitudinal projects. Mr. Rossbach presented preliminary results of his master thesis on at the III Scientific and Practical Student Conference «Studying Media and Communications: Theory, Practice and Research Perspectives» in National Research University Higher School of Economics, Moscow. His work was marked with a Research Scholarship of Higher School of Economics. As a journalist Mr. Rossbach is more a text person. His portfolio includes publications in Zeit Online, The Independent, Hamburger Abendblatt, Vice, Novaya Gazeta and others. In 2016 Mr. Rossbach was awarded by N-OST, the famous Network for Reporting on Eastern Europe based in Berlin, an international non-governmental organization that aims to improve journalists’ reporting on Eastern Europe.
