The topic of the thesis is important in theoretical and practical sense due to (1) global importance of the environmental problems, (2) the growing role of non-financial reporting globally and nationally, and (3) the role of construction industry.  The main research objective is to find out the main tendencies of environmental disclosure by international construction companies via non-financial reporting. The topic as such, taking into consideration the particular industrial and related environmental issues, is quite original.  The thesis’ topic, aim and objectives are logically interconnected.  Structure and logic of the text flow.  The research is conducted in a logical manner. The results and conclusions are directly followed from the study. The theoretical and empirical parts are in good balance.                                                                                                          Quality of analytical approach and quality of offered solution to the research objectives.  The coverage of objectives is quite adequate. The research problem is formulated clearly. The paper presents an overview of contemporary academic research on environmental responsibility, as well as the main standards of environmental assessment and disclosure.  Quality of data gathering and description.  The research tools and methods are selected properly. A set of environmental indicators is aggregated and used to analyze non-financial/sustainability reports of 30 companies. The regression analysis is run to probe the relationship between the degree of environmental disclosure and the companies’ investor attractiveness.  The list of references is complete and directly connected with the topic and objectives.  Scientific aspect of the thesis.  The way of scientific thinking is independent. The proposed methodology looks quite understandable. The entire research is made on the mainstream level and the author demonstrated the ability to use the main typical approaches.   Practical/applied nature of research.  The theoretical background is directly related to the international and Russian practices. The results of the research are just and can be shared for theoretical as well as practical purposes.  Quality of thesis layout.  The main Regulations for the master thesis preparation are fulfilled.
