Response of Belov A.V. About the final qualifying work of the student of the program  "Painting" Cui Yan. Theme of the final qualifying work: "Chinese music".   The plot is based on the theme of China's beautiful music. The topic is big and comprehensive. In the work the student turns to the traditions of ancient Chinese monumental painting, which gives an opportunity to decoratively and abstractly convey plastic lines and spots, which creates a sense of music, and the richness of the colors conveys the sound of the musical instruments played by the girls depicted in the picture. The heroines of the painting are depicted in national costumes. This is an island of solitude and rest, growing nowhere and swaying on the petals of the lotus, in the middle of a fantasy island. Hence the elongation of the composition, which is completed by the arbor and the rising sun. Cui Yang held preparatory work. The preparatory material for the work on WRC was collected in sufficient quantity. Several tonal and composite versions of the picture have been developed. In spite of the fact that the topic was chosen rather interesting, the diploma picture was not worked out well enough, the materiality of the objects was not sufficiently revealed, the imagery of the characters was poorly conveyed, and the details were studied at a low level. Tonal and color relationships are transmitted in an inharmonious way. In general, Cui Yang's final qualifying work can be considered incomplete.
