Her thesis "Motivation to Action in English Social Media" is devoted to the study of the impact of mass communication on the public consciousness, the pragmatic use of language as a tool of social influence, which is one of the most pressing scientific problems today. The author proceeds from the premise that any media text is intended to influence the audience, all of its language tools are evaluative and are designed to convince the recipient, to influence their position and induce him to action. Based on this, the author investigates and gives a detailed description of the imperative sentences and indirect directives from the point of view of language means used in them. Lyubov Alexandrovna, in my opinion, managed to collect interesting material and give it a detailed classification. The obtained results open up prospects for further studies of the peculiarities of the media influence on our perception and the formation of a linguistic image of the world. I hope that Lyubov Alexandrovna will continue to work on this topic in the future.
