REFERENCE for final qualification work of the student of the IV course of full-time department Mayatskaya Darina Vadimovna “Rights and the privileges of women of Grand Duchy of Lithuania” D.V.Mayatskaya has taken for the final work a poorly studied subject, paying much attention to historical anthropology, a gender factor, daily occurrence. The author uses a big complex of the sources, mostly published (including documents from the Acts issued by the Vilensky arkheografichesky commission and from Archive of Southwest Russia). The author is rather good familiar with the Russian and Belarusian literature. At the same time she didn't use the Polish or American historiography, very numerous on studied subject. In the work almost completely not presented the polemic with the colleagues, and from the review of the historiography isn't not clear what "white spots" the author would like to fill. At the same time D.V.Mayatskaya shows ability to interpret sources, to generalize the gained knowledge and to draw own independent conclusions. Work consists of four heads who are consistently studying position of girls/women in VKL in various life situations, their property, legal and social rights. The author considers both the legislation (the Lithuanian Statutes), and jurisprudence that allows to speak not only about legal, but also about a practical side of business. In general, the research finished independently not deprived of separate shortcomings has turned out.
