Noted advantages 
The thesis is based on the author’s personal field and laboratory studies of the content of metals in the soils of the Ekaterininsky, Alexandrovsky and Tarkhovsky parks of St. Petersburg. Based on the results of the study, the author made conclusions about the absence of soil contamination in the parks and the possibility of using the territory of the Ekaterininsky and Aleksandrovsky parks as background areas for assessing soil contamination in the Pushkinsky district of St. Petersburg. 

Disadvantages noted 
The literature on the research topic has not been sufficiently studied. An extremely superficial statistical analysis of the obtained data on metal content. Some conclusions about an increase in the content of metals at certain points are not sufficiently substantiated. The gross content of metals in soils and soils has not been analyzed.  

Manager's conclusion	
Despite some shortcomings, the presented thesis is quite complete, is an original author's research, and is relatively logical in content, which indicates the presence of certain knowledge and skills.   The thesis deserves a positive assessment.
