Bachelor’s thesis of A.Vinnikova in devoted to the topic of creating a prototype of two-dimensional parametric editor. The topic of the thesis has a good relevance to current trends in CAD/CAE programming and has both practical and theoretical importance. Practical importance of the thesis is connected with the development of ELCUT program complex. The thesis was created as a part of efforts to design new geometric editor for ELCUT. Parametric editors programming is a well-known area of CAD/CAE, but there are no perfect solution for it yet, and this topic is actively studied now. It must be noted that full implementation of parametric editor as a very complex and time-consuming task. So it is an interesting and important problem to choose and implement a subset of relatively simple and still convenient features. During the thesis preparation, A.Vinnikova demonstrated good investigation skills. She studied editor functionality requirements, chose most appropriate programming tools, designed and implemented an editor prototype. She also do the prototype testing and evaluate its usability. The work on bachelor’s thesis was done with good responsibility and show the student ability for independent work. All tasks were finished in time according the preliminary schedule. During the investigation phase, the good skill of information search and retrieval was demonstrated. The program created as a result of bachelor’s project has a considerable practical value and it is planned to incorporate the design propose by A.Vinnikova in new ELCUT release.
