Noted advantages of the work: A.S. Badakina conducted a competent and in-depth comprehensive study of railway tourism in 13 countries of the world. Identified the main distinctive features inherent in the type of tourism under study. The socio-economic and geographical analysis carried out in the work allowed us to substantiate the trends and promising directions of the development of railway tourism in the Russian Federation. Based on the analytical work carried out, a calculated railway tour of the North-Western region of the Russian Federation "Development of the North" was developed. The concept of the branded tourist train "Belomorsky Express" is also presented. The survey made it possible to confirm the interest in the developed route. The author proved herself to be a hardworking and responsible student, all the recommendations of the head were taken into account on time.
