REVIEW for the final qualifying work of a student of St. Petersburg State University Nazarov Roman Sergeevich on the topic "Coherent optical properties of excitons in semiconductors" The work of Nazarov R.S. "Coherent optical properties of excitons in semiconductors" was made at the Department of Photonics, Faculty of Physics, St. Petersburg State University. The work is devoted to the study of photon echo from the exciton subsystem in new semiconductor materials - halide perovskites. The work presents the theoretical foundations of the polarimetry of the photon echo signal. The temporal, spectral, and polarization properties of the photon echo signal from MAPbI3 perovskite single crystals were measured. The work contains an experimental part, a detailed literature review, an introduction and a conclusion. The content of the work corresponds to the stated topic, the topic is fully disclosed. The structure of the work is substantiated by the tasks formulated in the work. The obtained experimental results are original. The results were presented at conferences and in an article in the journal Physical Review B. The positive aspects of the work include the complexity of the experimental method used and the originality of the results obtained. When checking the work for originality, 26% of text borrowing was found. These borrowings are fragments from R.S. Nazarov bachelor's work. The proximity of the texts of the two works is associated with the proximity of the experimental methods used, while the original part of the master's work is free from borrowing. The work deserves an "excellent" rating. "__23_" ___ May ____ 2023 ___ Kapitonov Yu.V._
