SAINT PETERSBURG STATE UNIVERSITY REVIEW supervisor for graduate qualification work student Oboyshchikova Ekaterina Andreevna (Full Name) Head of the WRC Associate Professor Gaevskaya Elena Georgievna (position, surname, name, patronymic) The theme of the final qualification work is "Development of an Android-based application for the adaptation of students from China in St. Petersburg" Content The work is aimed at research and analysis of technologies for the implementation and design of mobile applications based on Android and the development of the mobile application itself. The paper presents the collection and analysis of requirements for the application and its architecture, the design of the application architecture, the study of various technologies for design and implementation and the subsequent selection of the necessary tools, and also describes the development of the application. The first chapter is devoted to the study of functional and non-functional requirements. As a result, a description of what and how the application should perform was obtained. The second chapter is an analysis of the technologies needed to design and implement an application. A comparative analysis of geographic information systems, authentication methods, and databases was carried out. Technologies were selected in accordance with the results of the analysis. The third chapter is devoted to designing the architecture of the mobile application "1698". Here such issues as the choice of architecture, organization of data storage, as well as the organization of the client part of the application are considered. The fourth chapter describes the general principles of application development, and also discusses in detail the solutions to the most difficult implementation problems. Practical significance of WRC results The applied result of the WRC is a mobile application based on Android. The development of a multimedia guide based on Android, designed for intercultural adaptation of students from China in St. Petersburg, was carried out by two students of the Main Educational Program SV.5078 "Applied Informatics in the Field of Arts and Humanities": A.E. Sechenykh and E.A. Oboyshchikova. E.A. Oboishchikova developed the architecture and functionality of an Android-based mobile application, which includes the "Map" and "Messenger" components, allowing the user to find places related to Chinese culture on the map and communicate both in personal and group chats in Chinese, Russian , English. The high level of implementation of the resource and the text of the WRC testifies to the sufficient development of the graduate's professional competencies and readiness for teamwork. Flaws The disadvantage of the work is an insufficiently detailed list of references. It seems that the author did not indicate all the sources that he used in the course of his work. Characteristics of the student's work on the WRC Ekaterina Andreevna Oboyshchikova showed herself as an enterprising, conscientious, independent student with a penchant for research work. Implementation of the project in cooperation with A.E. Sechenykh showed that she is ready to work in a team. ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ Head of the Final Thesis Associate Professor Gaevskaya E.G.
