"Foreign Languages German language" major Final qualification work of A.M. Borova is carried out independently, it highlights the problematic of linguistic and linguocultural features of German subtitles to the Russian comedies "Ivan Vasilievich changes his profession", "Love and pigeons". The main attention in the final qualification work is paid to the linguistic and cultural connotation in the creation of subtitles in German. The total amount of analyzed material is 160 subtitles. The aim and objectives and the object of the research are defined, stated and disclosed as the study and linguistic description of the ways of reflecting meaningful audiovisual information in the text of subtitles, taking into account the difference between the two languages - Russian and German, in a multi-level process of interaction between the creator of the film and the viewer. In order to conduct her research Anastasia Mikhailovna defined a logical and consistent course of analysis in her work, namely in the analytical chapter (pp. 6-26) she examined in detail the concepts of film discourse, film text, subtitling technique, subtitle types, cultural constellations and other language and linguocultural phenomena, important for the disclosure of the theme given in the title of her thesis. Anastasia Mikhailovna singles out transformations and exotization strategies: omission, explication, calibration, transcription, transliteration, modulation, periphrase when creating subtitles. When subtitling, it is important to convey not only the content, but also the emotional component of the episode in order to achieve an impact on the recipient. The author succeeded not only in correctly identifying the linguistic peculiarities of subtitling, but also in describing the very technique of film text creation, which, hidden behind the visualization of the episodes, becomes apparent exactly when comparing the transmission of the Russian phrases of the actors in German. Thus, linguistic and linguocultural analysis have successfully found application to multimodal film discourse. In the Conclusion, as well as in the conclusions of the chapters, a description of the results of the work is given, the tasks of the study are stated and fulfilled. The history and culture of the country directly influence the cinema text and its understanding by the foreign audience, many more Russian films will be available to the world audience through the correct subtitling techniques.
