Research adviser’s review on a bachelor thesis Bredikhina Viktoriia Evgenievna “Japanese nationalism in the XXI century” The declared applied and scientific relevance of this work, due to acute bursts of nationalist sentiment in the world, and, in particular, in Japan, can generally be justified. The high practical value of the study is complemented by a concise presentation of the material and well-chosen examples, which should arouse the greatest interest in the work of specialists from the Japanese studies. When performing the thesis, Bredikhina Viktoriia showed initiative and independence in research. She presented herself as a thoughtful and proactive student who is able to solve various complex problems in the field of scientific research. The thesis is logical, consistent and clear. The text performed fully meets the goal and is a completed study. The validity and persuasiveness of the facts testify to the completeness of the studies presented in the scientific work. The design of the work meets accepted standards. In general, the work consistently deals with the features of Japanese nationalism, provides brief information about the nature of the development of ideology since the end of the 19th century, and the features of Japanese nationalism in our time. The introductory part of the work convincingly and reasonably reflects the specifics, as well as the relevance of the problem under study. The utmost attention is paid to the collection, analysis and systematization of information from literary sources, and a high level of skill is shown when working with the theoretical base in the course of writing the work. The logic of the study, as well as the sequence of presentation and structured arrangement of information, allows us to characterize the diploma as a work with a deep and high-quality disclosure of the topic. Speaking about weak points, one can single out some inaccuracies in the design of bibliographic references, as well as minor problems with spelling and punctuation. Taking all of the above, the thesis is relevant, has a significant theoretical and practical value, and was completed in accordance with all the requirements at the proper scientific level. Her bachelor thesis is recommended for the defense of the thesis.
