 An interesting topic has been chosen and the idea of ​​the picture leads to philosophical reflections, despite the formal solution. The artist shows a plot from the shaft of a miner's elevator. Miners descend into the mine and rise to the surface. Downstairs clean and cheerful, upstairs tired, grubby. This dynamic composition gives the impression that the picture is created by a film artist, and not by an easel painter. In the process of creating a diploma, a lot of preparatory work has been done on sketches. The composition was repeatedly changed diametrically, which made it possible to come to a definite decision. Mo Peng Yu is quite professionally trained and showed it in the picture. Sometimes technical qualities prevail over the main thing. In general, the work with the student was interesting. Mo Peng Yu listens carefully and analyzes what the leader offers. This is a remarkable quality of an artist starting an independent creative path.
