The introduction reveals the topicality, determines the degree of scientific study of the theme, purpose of the study, reveals the theoretical and practical significance of the work. The first chapter describes the history of the development, processing, use of gypsum, while given the chemical and physical properties of its various forms, as well as the structure and description of the processes of hydration and structure of the material. The second chapter is devoted to the analysis of restoration techniques and museum restoration plaster. It contains a table of the existing guidelines and examples of museum restorations.
