The topic of the presented research is quite urgent and is determined by the fact that the studied territory is experiencing economic growth in connection with the Crimea's accession to Russia. The introduction clearly defines the purpose and tasks of the qualification work. In the general part of the work (1-4 chapters), physicogeographical features of the studied region, geological and hydrogeological conditions, problems of morphology and formation of mud volcanoes are discussed, the methodology of field and laboratory studies is characterized. Quite a lot of attention is paid to the review of literary data, which along with an impressive amount of own analytical material were used for interpretation. Of great interest are both the hydrochemical and isotopic data of the comparative waters and groundwaters of the Kerch Peninsula. The author succeeded in substantiating the genetic affinity of the underground waters of the Eastern Crimea, confirming the similarity of the mud volcanoes of the Kerch Peninsula and the Taman Peninsula. Much attention is paid to the study of the chemical composition of the underground (including coarse waters) of the Eastern Crimea. It should be emphasized that the mastery of K.L. Popova different methods of chemical analysis, which confirms her high qualifications.  The noted shortcomings of work. At the same time, there are serious shortcomings in the work. Thus, in the presence of literature material, the stability of the chemical composition of the comparative waters over time has not been compared. Graphs of dependence of macrocomponents of groundwater on mineralization are called correlative; It is not clear which factor is the factor, and what resultant analysis should be called regression. The correlation matrix is not presented, the connections of the macrocomponents are not explained in any way.  The conclusion of the reviewer. _ Evaluating in general the degree work of K.S. Popova, it should be noted that it meets the basic requirements for graduate qualification work for a bachelor's degree, it shows a great personal contribution of the author, work, in case of good protection, deserving an assessment "excellent."
