Specialists in different disciplines, including political science and IR, economics and sociology made numerous publications on the same topic. But an attempt to utilize results of these research for analysis of current economic situation in Gambia contains obvious element of novelty.  3. It is deeply rooted into research agenda of the International Political Economy perspective of the IR theory and additionally reinforced by professional use of informational materials and documents from governmental institutions of Gambia and intergovernmental organizations.  The Economic Diplomacy is a powerful tool in hands of sovereign states of the Third World and nowadays its efficiency could be questionable.
