REVIEW on graduation thesis made by SPBU student Martynov Rodion Sergeevich on topic "Search engine optimization using online learning algorithms". Thesis research performed by Martynov R. S. has been carried out on an actual topic, since online learning is one of the most important information retrieval mechanism. Research in this area is carried out by such large companies as Google, Yandex, Bing, Yahoo and others. The research is consistent with the stated in the title topic "Search engine optimization using online learning algorithms". The work has a clear structure, corresponding to the tasks set, and consists of the introduction, task formulation, review of the literature, three chapters, findings, conclusion and bibliography of 39 sources. Most of the references used have been published in the last 10 years, which allows us to conclude that the latest achievements of science and technology are being applied in the course of the study. Conclusions obtained as a result of the performed research are disclosed and justified. The theoretical foundations of the approach to search engine optimization using evolutionary algorithms, in particular, the genetic algorithm, are presented. A number of hypotheses have been formulated, which were then tested using a numerical experiment on publicly available data. The results of the experiment confirm the successful solution of the main task of the work - the improvement of search output in the online evaluation mode. The obtained results can serve as an example for improving the procedures for finding relevant information from a multitude of domestic and foreign search online services. The work is written competently, style and language correspond to the level of scientific work. Tables, figures and formulas provide a visual representation of the material and are convenient for reading. As a proposal to the author: it would be interesting to compare the proposed approach with the implementation based on an artificial neural network. In general, the Master's thesis of Martynov R. S. meets the requirements for graduation thesis, and deserves a highest grade.
